- Real Life Bachelorette Party Ideas
So you've decided to host a bachelorette party. Not the stay-out-all-night and drink till ya drop kind of gals? Oh, the pressure to plan a clean, yet fun, night on the town! The good news is that many have come before you, and they have conquered. Here's a sampling of some fantastic real-life bachelorette parties, straight from the brides, bridesmaids and guests themselves.
Co-Ed Bash
Our wedding party was made up of a lot of mutual friends from college so we decided to do a co-ed bachelor and bachelorette party. We started the night at my maid of honor's house with tons of beer and great food in the backyard. The guys and girls split up after dinner - we went dancing for our portion of the bachelorette party and the guys went to do their "guy" things. Then at about midnight we all met back up at the house for more drinks and ended up having a loud, spontaneous dance party. I may be partial but I think it's one of the best bachelorette party ideas I've ever heard of!
Wine Themed Bachelorette Party
Last year I went to my cousin's bachelorette party with a wine and cheese theme. The bridesmaids got a big hotel suite and brought in glasses, plates and cloth napkins from a party rental place so it was a pretty upscale event with about 15 or so people. We were having a great time until the cops showed up. Turns out they were actually the evening's "entertainment" provided by the maid of honor! My cousin was SO surprised but loved that her fancy little bachelorette party turned out to have a little naughty side too.
Taste of the Tropics
I have about ten girlfriends from college and between us we've come up with some pretty great bachelorette party ideas over the years. My favorite of all the parties was a tropical night theme in the dead of winter. We were all instructed to come dressed appropriately and some people went all-out with grass skirts and bikini tops. We rented one of those executive coaches and after driving around for a while listening to Jimmy Buffet and drinking fruity drinks, we went to a Polynesian restaurant for dinner. Afterward we hit the clubs and attracted a lot of attention with our tropical outfits - it was a blast and probably the best bachelorette party I've ever been to.
Beach Bonfire
I knew my friend wasn't going to be into the club scene or a drunken scavenger hunt for her bachelorette party so I was looking for some non-traditional bachelorette party ideas. I got a permit to have a bonfire on the beach and we had a big cookout on a beautiful night in August. I had a couple of the other bridesmaids bring all the supplies to the beach about an hour before. We grilled hot dogs and made s'mores and they even managed to somehow sneak a keg out onto the sand. We had a great time just telling stories and laughing. My girlfriend has told me about a million times that her bachelorette party is one of her best wedding memories.
Bowled Over Bachelorette Party
This is one of those parties people are skeptical about at first, but turned out to be so much fun. We hosted the bachelorette party at a bowling alley and made it a 70's theme. We reserved four lanes for the night and we all dressed up in hilarious outfits. We ordered a bunch of food and pitchers of beer, and about an hour after we got there, the bowling alley shut down the lights, switched to "glow in the dark" pins and played disco music at full blast. I thought it was a great bachelorette party because some people really got into the bowling, others just wanted to sit at the tables and talk and some of us even got up and danced, so there was a little something for everyone.

Bachelorette party games have begun to grow in popularity over the last 50 years as women began having more wild and outrageous bachelorette parties – similar to the celebrations that men have. Party games for bachelorette parties are a lot like bridal shower party games since they test how well the attendees know the bride-to-be. The main difference is that while bridal shower games are fun in their own right, bachelorette party games usually add some debauchery and mischief into the mix.
Balloon Pop
Balloon Pop is a perfect way to involve several kinds of games. The objective of the basic balloon pop game is for the attendees to pop balloons to try to get to the strip of paper that is found inside. The winner of this bachelorette party game is the person who pops the balloon that reveals the paper with the bachelorette’s name.
Balloon pop games for a bachelorette party can easily be spiced up by having dares written on the strips of paper, such as “dance with a stranger” if your party plans on painting the town that night. Another funny option might be to have everyone write something down on the strips of paper, then blow the balloons up and have people pick one to pop and read, beginning the sentences with “On the honeymoon night…” This is a great bachelorette party idea that can be changed to fit the bachelorette’s preferences.
Who Knows the Bachelorette Best
This bachelorette party game will reveal once and for all which guest at the bachelorette party knows the bride-to-be best.
- All attendees will be asked to answer a list of questions about the bride to be.
- The bachelorette will first fill out the questionnaire, and then leave the room while the guests answer all the bachelorette party game questions on the list.
- The bachelorette returns and the questions and correct answers are read out loud.
- The winner of the game is the woman with the most correct answers.
The list of questions can be as clean or dirty as you’d like. If you want to make it very interesting and maybe embarrass the bachelorette a bit, tailor the questions so they ask personal, mischievous questions about the bride to be and her groom. The bachelorette party game questions will certainly get the party started, and you might learn something about your friend that you never knew!
“I Never”
A must- have staple at bachelorette parties around the globe is “I Never,” by far the most interesting of bachelorette games.
- The bride-to-be and guests sit in a circle.
- Each person either has something to drink or tokens of some kind (think candy or pretzels) in hand.
- The first person starts with an “I Never” statement like “I never shoplifted.” Anyone who has shoplifted before has to take a drink of their drink, or put one of their tokens into the center.
- Then the next person comes up with a different statement, and it continues around the circle as each person comes up with a creative and sometimes funny “I Never” statement.
- When someone runs out of a drink or their tokens, they’re out of the game, and the last person in the circle is the winner.
Better hope that you have been a good girl, and have “never” done anything naughty!
Guess What’s in the Bag
A game that can lead to rather risqué answers is the Guess What’s in the Bag bachelorette game.
- The hostess should begin with a brown paper bag.
- The first step is to secretly place an object into the brown paper bag. This can be any object the hostess desires- either clean or somewhat naughty.
- The bachelorette then puts her hand inside the bag for ten to thirty seconds. As the bachelorette feels what the item inside is, she is also describing it to the guests.
- The guests guess what the object is, and whatever guest correctly guesses what the item is gets to keep it as their prize.
Feel free to put any item in the bag, personal or otherwise. Don’t forget to use things of funky shapes and sizes to throw off the bachelorette and the guests! And hostesses, don’t put something in the brown bag that you aren’t ready to part ways with!
Party Prizes
As with any other party, bachelorette party prizes should fit the theme of the party. If the hostess decides to throw an elegant and clean bachelorette dinner party, the favors should be of the same elegant taste. These prizes don’t have to break the bank, but should show that some thought and time went into preparing them.
Some excellent ideas for bachelorette party gifts for any type party are bath soaps, a somewhat naughty gift bag, nicely scented sachets for between the sheets or in a clothing drawer, a fun girl’s night out picture frame, or perhaps a calming candle that can be a romantic mood setter or a decorative piece.
Make sure you get all the girls together by sending out evites for the party! This is an easy way to get the word out and trac RSVPs.

- Festive Bachelorette Party Ideas
If you’re the maid of honor or a bridesmaid you are probably thinking about throwing the bachelorette party, but you may be concerned about where to start, especially if its coming up within the next few weeks or days. You know that you want it to be unique, and not your typical run of the mill party. You also know you want it to be a night your bride will always remember, because it will be the last official night-out she will have with her girlfriends. Well, why not throw a themed bachelorette party that goes with the upcoming holidays! Here are some great ideas.
1.) The first idea to a great party would of course be the costumes! Everyone needs to break out their sexiest, most fabulous costumes and get ready for a night on the town. You could even do themed costumes, like have the bride dress up as a little devil, complete with horns and a red veil. All of the bridesmaids and other guests could dress up as angels with black wings. Especially if you have on Halloween, a lot of restaurants will be having costume parties and offering drink specials. You can also bring bags of candy with you and have the guys at the restaurants do dares for candy.
2.) A great idea for November and Thanksgiving, is to have all the bridesmaids and the bride-to-be dress up in Indian headdresses or pilgrim hats. You could incorporate fall colors into your other bachelorette party ideas, maybe by choosing brown or orange t-shirts/tank tops to decorate for all the guests to wear. You can also serve festive finger foods at your party like pumpkin bread, turkey sandwiches, and cranberry flavored shooters.
3.) Christmas time is the best time for a “tis’ the season” bachelorette party. You could have the bride-to-be wear a Santa hat and a t-shirt that says “Future Mrs. Klaus” and the rest of the bridesmaids wear elf hats and t-shirts that say, “Santa’s Little Helpers”. You should incorporate festive colors like red, green, and gold and offer tiny wrapped presents to the guys who are willing to do dare or two for you or play your games. You can also indulge in some spiked eggnog!
4.) What better way to ring in the New Year, than with a New Years Eve themed bachelorette party? Get some mardi-gras beads and some festive New Year’s hats. You can give away party horns, and your beads if people volunteer to play your games. You can also play a game where guys give the bride a dollar to kiss her on the cheek. Be sure to pop open some bubbly and bring in the New Year right.
As you can see, there are so many great ideas to help you celebrate your bachelorette party in a festive manner! Now that you have some starter ideas, you can just do some shopping and some web searching to see what else you can come up with that will help you give your bride one of the best nights of her life.
- Planning a Bachelorette Party- Top Bachelorette Party Tips
I have been to many bachelorette parties and the one thing that i have found can make or break a good party is the entertainment. Its critical to get the right sort of entertainment that is appropriate for the bride's taste and the theme of the party. Here are my top ideas for entertainment at a bachelorette party.
1. Movies-what better way to spend girls night than watching chick flicks. Films are a cheap and fun way to amuse guest. Pick your favorite romantic pictures, buy some junk food and hang around with your pals in your pjs.
2.. Concert- onstage music is always great entertainment. You can go and see your bride's fave band or stay local and head to a bar which has live music.
3. Dinner- there is very few girls out there that don't like a good meal and tasty drinks. Have everybody dress up and head out to your favorite fancy restaurant. This option is a little pricier but is ideal if you need a laid back night with the girls. Just make sure to make reservations in advance.
4. Adult Entertainment- what would a bachelorette party be without the naughtiness of a male stripper. You can hire a male stripper to come to your place or even better you can go to a male strip club. The internet has made it increasingly easy to get in contact with pro'male dancers'. Many sites give you footage ( so you can pick the freshest ) and there contact info{rmation
5. Spa- relax with your nearest friends while getting a facial or perhaps even a manicure or pedicure. Spas are becoming the latest trend for bachelorette parties. It is a great alternative for brides that want something more low key and for parties that have underage guests. Spas provide a relaxing environment that everyone can enjoy.
